hkgooddoctor is a free, anonymous, web-based information service for understanding healthcare in Hong Kong: an AI chat, a doctor map, comparison tools, and cost references.

1.1 The operator provides the website branded "hkgooddoctor" (the "Service") as an information utility. 1.2 The Service comprises an AI conversational interface, a directory and map of registered medical practitioners, comparative pricing information, and ancillary tools.

2.1 Nothing on the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or the practice of medicine within the meaning of the Medical Registration Ordinance (Cap. 161). 2.2 The Service is not an insurance intermediary within the meaning of the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41); nothing on it constitutes insurance advice or a recommendation to buy any product. 2.3 The Service is not intended for medical emergencies; in an emergency, call 999.

Use the service for general information. Verify anything that matters with the provider or a registered doctor before acting on it, and never use the site in place of emergency services.

3.1 The user shall consult a registered medical practitioner before making any medical decision and shall verify prices, coverage, and availability directly with the relevant provider. 3.2 The user shall not use the Service in lieu of emergency services. 3.3 The user assumes sole responsibility for reliance placed on information obtained through the Service.

We build this carefully and in good faith, but we make no guarantees, and we cannot be liable for medical or financial outcomes. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us — which is nothing.

4.1 The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. 4.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including any medical or financial outcome. 4.3 Aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the Service, which is zero.

We own the site's content, design, and code. You own what you type or upload; we use it only to answer you in your session, then discard it.

5.1 All intellectual property in the Service is owned by or licensed to the operator. 5.2 User-submitted content remains the user's; the user grants the operator a transient, non-exclusive licence to process it solely to provide the Service during the active session.

Don't abuse the chat, don't scrape the doctor database, don't fire automated requests. We rate-limit and may block offending traffic.

6.1 The user shall not (a) interfere with the Service or its infrastructure; (b) attempt unauthorised access; (c) extract or systematically copy the doctor database by automated means; (d) submit unlawful or fraudulent content; (e) impersonate any person or registered medical practitioner. 6.2 The operator may rate-limit, suspend, or block access engaged in prohibited conduct.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR, and disputes belong to Hong Kong courts.

7.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. 7.2 The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.

If these terms change materially, the effective date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

8.1 Amendments take effect on the effective date posted on this page; continued use of the Service thereafter constitutes acceptance.
